Shelton\\u2019s work is undoubtedly influenced by Frank Sinatra, with whom he has an uncanny award-winning dramatic relationship, having portrayed the icon on stages across the world in the critically acclaimed productions \\u2018Rat Pack Confidential\\u2019 in London\\u2019s West End, \\u2018Sinatra & Me\\u2019 and more recently, \\u2018Sinatra RAW\\u2019.

\\u2018An Englishman in Love in LA\\u2019 was recorded at Capitol Studios, the iconic LA hot spot famous for producing some of Frank Sinatra\\u2019s greatest work, not to mention a whole host of other legendary artists. Teaming up with renowned producers Sean Hargreaves and Alex Frank, Shelton collaborated on arrangements which range from extensive orchestral works, to a core 10-piece all-star band which includes Chuck Berghofer, Frank Sinatra\\u2019s bass player and member of the legendary session musicians known as \\u2018The Wrecking Crew\\u2019, Mike Lang \\u2013 legendary pianist who played at Sinatra\\u2019s Los Angeles retirement concert in 1971 and performed the theme to \\u2018The Way We Were\\u2019 with Barbra Streisand, Gregg Field, Sinatra\\u2019s drummer and multiple Grammy winning musician Wayne Bergeron, one of LA\\u2019s most sought after trumpet players.
