Coach Dominic Parker shares his journey from being a 150lb HS senior to being a D1 Assistant Coach and everything in-between! Dom is one of the most optimistic and hard working coaches I know, he started off his college career at Lincoln Memorial under the legendary Josh Schertz as part of his inaugural recruiting class. He was awarded the "Freshman of the Week" twice during his first season at LMU. Dom transferred to Virginia State University to be closer to home and help care for his mother during a health scare, he managed to not only graduate Cum Laude with a Bachelors of Science Degree in Health, Physical Edication, and Recreation - but he finished a two year Master's degree program in just over one year. He served as the Graduate Assistant at VSU in 2012 where he helped VSU to their best record in six years. After receiving a Master\u2019s of Science Degree in Sport Management in 2013, Dom became the Assistant Coach at Richard Bland College (NJCAA D2) and won the Region X Conference Championship and the NJCAA Division II National Championship in 2015. From Richard Bland he moved onto Shenandoah University (D3) in Winchester Virginia and remained there for two years. Following his time at Shenandoah, he landed at Christopher Newport University (D3) in Newport News, Virginia. In two seasons as an Assistant Coach at CNU from 2017-19. CNU went a combined 51-11 during his tenure. The team won the Capital Athletic Conference regular season title in each season and advanced to the NCAA Tournament each season including a trip to the Final Four in March 2019. He was named to the 2017-18 Under Armour 30 under 30 team during his time at CNU. Coach Parker was hired at University of Maryland Eastern Shore after his tenure at CNU as part of Jason Crofton's inaugural coaching staff.
