This week Behind the Beaker, the Daily Wildcat science podcast, looks at AZ HEROES, a study to enhance our knowledge of the epidemiologic and immunologic characteristics of novel COVID-19 infection and reinfection among high-exposure individuals who provide critical services to our communities. Host and science reporter Udbhav Sukavanam Venkataraman talks with Dr. Jeff Burgess, professor and associate dean for research at the Mel & Enid Zuckerman College of Public Health at the University of Arizona. Burgess talks about his work wth AZ HEROES and how they are helping in the fight agaist the pandemic.
