BEHIND THE BEAKER IS BACK!!!! This week host Jillian Bartch talks with Zheshen Zhang \u2014 an assistant professor in the department of Materials Science and Engineering at the College of Optical Sciences at the University of Arizona \u2014 about his research on the experimental and theoretical aspects of quantum information science. He studies unique quantum phenomena, such as quantum entanglement and leverages these phenomena in quantum-optics and nanophotonic platforms to implement devices and systems for quantum communications, quantum sensing and quantum computing. Listen to understand how this research could improve sensor-based systems ranging from vehicle navigation to communication and medical imaging.
