A recent survey shows that a majority of Spaniards are in favor of helping Ukraine in its time of need as the first anniversary of the conflict nears. Begoña Castro, a 43-year-old financial analyst, believes that the Spanish government is not doing enough to help Ukraine and should send more weapons. However, the defense minister has only pledged to send five Leopard tanks to Kyiv. The divided response of the government highlights the challenges it faces in navigating foreign policy decisions.

A sanctuary dedicated to the god Mithras has been discovered in Cabra, Spain by archaeologists from University of Málaga, the Carlos III University of Madrid, and the University of Córdoba. The remains of the 2nd-century AD sanctuary, along with evidence of ritual banquets, were found at the Villa del Mitra. The sanctuary is a rectangular room with stone benches where worshipers would sit to perform rituals and banquets. Cooking took place during the banquets, as evidenced by the fragmented remains of pigs, birds, and rabbits found on the burnt layer floor. Mithras was honored as the sun god and patron of loyalty to the emperor by Greeks and Romans.
