Friday Feb 17, 2023 - The truth and the lies about Australia Day
This has only just been brought to my attention and I am truly amazed, astonished. The complete and utter deception about Australia Day. The 26th of January, 1949 is the date Australia was given it's independence from Britain, it is the day we all were declared Áustralia citizens', black and white. The date has nothing to do with invasion, it is our day, it is Australia Day. If you must declare an invasion day, perhaps it was in 1788 when the first fleet arrived with 42 soldiers; hardly an invasion but what other date could be Invasion Day, perhaps the day Capt. Cook arrived on our shores. Wait, maybe it should be the date the Dutch or the French first landed on our shores. Maybe it was during World War 2 when the Japanese invaded Darwin. We've all been conned by you know who!
