What is the interior structure of the Earth and how does it drive the\nEarth's magnetic and geologic activity? We will review our current\nknowledge of the interior of the Earth, how we measure it using\nSeismology, the origins of the Earth's magnetic field, and discuss the\nworkings of plate tectonics. the Earth is a dynamic, geologically\nactive world, which has interesting implications later for understanding\nthe past and future history of life on Earth. Recorded live on 2009 Oct\n5 in Room 1005 Smith Laboratory on the Columbus campus of The Ohio State\nUniversity.
