Director of the St. Louis Symphony\\xa0Chorus since 1995, Amy Kaiser is\\xa0one of the\\xa0country\\u2019s leading choral directors. She has conducted the St. Louis Symphony Orchestra in\\xa0Handel\\u2019s\\xa0Messiah, Schubert\\u2019s Mass\\xa0in E-flat, Vivaldi\\u2019s\\xa0Gloria, and\\xa0sacred works\\xa0by Haydn and Mozart,\\xa0as well as Young People\\u2019s Concerts.\\xa0Guest conductor for\\xa0the Berkshire Choral Festival in Massachusetts, Santa Fe and at Canterbury\\xa0Cathedral and Music Director of the Dessoff Choirs in New York for 12 seasons,\\xa0she led many performances of major works at Lincoln Center.

Other conducting engagements include Chicago\\u2019s Grant Park Music Festival,\\xa0Peter Schickele\\u2019s PDQ Bach with the New Jersey Symphony, and more than 50\\xa0performances with the Metropolitan Opera Guild. Principal Conductor of the New\\xa0York Chamber Symphony\\u2019s School Concert Series for seven seasons, Kaiser\\xa0also led Jewish Opera at the Y, and many programs for the 92nd Street Y\\u2019s\\xa0acclaimed\\xa0Schubertiade. She has prepared choruses for the New York\\xa0Philharmonic, Ravinia Festival, Mostly Mozart Festival, and Opera Orchestra of\\xa0New York.

Kaiser is a regular pre-concert speaker for the SLSO and\\xa0presents popular classes for the Symphony Lecture Series and Opera Theatre of\\xa0St. Louis. A former faculty member at Manhattan School of Music and The\\xa0Mannes College of Music, she was a Fulbright Fellow at Oxford University and\\xa0holds a degree in musicology from Columbia University. A graduate of Smith\\xa0College, she was awarded the Smith College Medal for outstanding professional\\xa0achievement.
