On this week's episode of Artist Friendly, Joel Madden is joined by Griff.\nGriff is a U.K. singer-songwriter who\xa0cites\xa0Jack Antonoff, Imogen Heap, and James Blake as influences.\nShe played only one show supporting her 2019 EP,\xa0Mirror Talk, then created the 2021 LP\xa0One Foot In Front of The Other\xa0in her bedroom during pandemic lockdowns, which shot her to fame. Now, she\u2019s readying the release of her latest single, \u201cmiss me too,\u201d which was written in between tours.\n\u201cI booked a little Airbnb and sent my location to Lostboy and Siba, who I co-wrote \u2018Black Hole\u2019 with,\u201d she says. \u201cWe converted the living room of the cottage into a studio and wrote \u2018miss me too.\u2019 I had been trying to write a song for a while about losing yourself, and missing a past version of yourself that wasn\u2019t so broken.\u201d\nListen to their conversation on Artist Friendly wherever you listen to podcasts.
