174. I’d Rather be in the Studio with Alyson Stanfield
This week’s episode features author and art business educator Alyson Stanfield. You may know her from her famous book, I’d Rather be in the Studio. Alyson has been coaching artists since almost before I was born so it’s pretty obvious that she holds a vast amount of knowledge on the subject of art and business. We chat a lot about the mental blocks that artists create for themselves and how to move past it. We touch on critique and where to ask for criticism and where not to. We keep it pretty broad when it comes to advice but I’m sure you’ll take away something from our chat in one category or another.
