137. The Illustration Process with Rob MacDougall
This week’s episode features Canadian based illustrator and sports cartoonist Rob MacDougall. I thoroughly enjoyed this conversation with Rob as he basically just gave me advice on how to handle my next illustration job. I am so grateful for his input backed by years of experience in the illustration industry. This guy has some stories and knows his stuff. Having all of these standard questions planned for him as I typically do, I threw them all out and we just went with the flow while staying on the topic of illustration. How to price, how to get jobs, how to communicate with customers throughout the design process, etc. If you’re thinking of illustrating a book or anything in the future, I hope this interview gives you some clarity and helps you be a bit more prepared.
