EP79: The Waldorf approach was created by Rudolf Steiner for a new school that was opening in Germany back in 1919. That’s over 100 years ago.
Steiner had a lot of theories and beliefs about how children develop and learn best. And now that we have new technologies such as MRI brain imaging, and scientists studying the workings of the human brain, we have more sophisticated ways of exploring how the brain works and develops.
What's amazing is that today’s neuroscientific discoveries match Steiner’s theories in many, many ways.
Understanding how the brain develops can really help us to make important decisions in our homeschooling but also can help us to feel more confident in the hands-on approaches we’re using with our children.
Hands-on holistic homeschooling really works because it helps children's brains develop in healthy ways.
