Uncontrolled eye movements and an elevated pulse rate are among the common methods to find out if someone is telling the truth. But University of Arizona information management professor Jay Nunamaker says computer technology has identified 500 such cues through a lie detection system called "Avatar." He notes further development could allow the system to be used at airports and border crossings.
