Internationally-recognized U of A immunobiologist Janko Nikolich is researching how the human body responds to viruses, bacteria, and other dangerous microorganisms. The immune system detects strange or unfamiliar cells to slow down infections, and alerts the body's natural defenses to combat them. Tim Swindle of the University of Arizona Lunar Planetary Lab talks with Prof. Nikolich about the latest findings on how the body works to keep itself healthy.
