On this episode of Archinect Sessions we\\u2019re sharing the recording of a panel discussion I moderated last weekend at the\\xa0A+D Museum\\u200b, as part of the current exhibition\\xa0The Los Angeles Schools\\u200b. The panel brought together five students and three faculty members representing student-led publications from LA\\u2019s architecture programs. Rayne Laborde and Phoebe Webster represented\\xa0UCLA\\u200b\'s\\xa0POOL\\u200b\\u200b\\u200b; Marcelyn Gow represented\\xa0SCI-Arc\\u200b\\u2019s\\xa0Offramp\\u200b; Richard Mapes, Corie Yaguchi and Irvin Shaifa represented\\xa0SCI-Arc\\u200b\'s\\xa0Underscore\\u200b;\\xa0Alvin Huang\\u200b\\xa0represented\\xa0USC\\u200b\\u2019s\\xa0Supertall\\u200b; and\\xa0Stephen Phillips\\u200b, Cal Poly LA Metro\\u2019s Director, represented their program\\u2019s hardcover publication\\xa0LA Ten\\u200b.\\xa0

Our talk covers a lot of ground, exposing the inner-workings of editing and producing publications in today\\u2019s unique and highly transformative media landscape. Our conversations cover issues of editorial decision-making, design, freedom of expression and thoughts on the future of student publishing in architecture school.\\xa0\\xa0
