Work on YOURSELF, not Your LIFE

This week I have an astro report, followed by an episode about working on yourself, not your life.

What does this mean?

\n

Our life is an amorphous, transient, ever-changing thing. But OURSELF is our permanent residence in this life.

\n

Instead of focusing on things we can't control and are always changing, let's turn the focus back to building a stronger, happier, more aware and resilient YOU.

\n

How to work on yourself in six easy steps:

\n

1) Practice somatic awareness: Notice how your body feels and what it needs

\n

2) Become aware of Pattern Recognition: What recurring themes are you experiencing and why?

\n

3) Learn to track your MOOD by understand the six basic emotions: anger, sadness, fear, joy, disgust & surprise

\n

4) Track your mental activity: The pace, as well as the content

\n

5) Check if you are able to RESPOND rather than REACT in situations and circumstances

\n

6) What is your RECOVERY TIME when you have a set back? And what is your recovery process?

\n


\n

When we are more interested in building a stronger self, we get less thrown off by the details of our life, and indeed we can create a better life from a stronger self.
