The Importance of Structural Integrity

Published: Oct. 13, 2022, 1:49 a.m.

In this episode I wear my yoga teacher hat to talk about how important our skeletal structural integrity is. I go into the different Ayurvedic Dosha body types: Vata, Pitta and Kapha, and how the bone structure will differ, as well as how each may go out of alignment and sacrifice their strength of structure.\xa0\nOur body structure is a mirror of our elemental nature and spirit, and we will have challenges and strengths in our ability to be embodied in a form that supports our vitality and life.\xa0\nTowards the end I talk about some astrology coming up: Namely Mars going retrograde October 30th (for about 2.5 months), where it will be vitally important to be paying attention to our body as Mars signifies the body, aggression and Ego. The more we can get centered, do our exercise, eat well, and breath healthfully, the better we can weather the storms that pass through us and our lives.\xa0\nGet in touch for more tips and practices on how to stay embodied through it all at www.juliabernbaum.com. This is truly the most important task in your life.\xa0\nI hope this episode was helpful!\n\U0001f64f\n***Also- I got it straightened out: In the 8 limbed path, the Yama is where we put up restraints, while the Niyama is what we would like to cultivate. So "ahimsa" or non-violence, is considered one of the five Yamas in yoga. :)\n\n--- \n\nSupport this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/julia359/support
