The Difference Between "Me" and "You"

Published: June 9, 2022, 2:11 a.m.

In relating we can fall into two traps. One is to think that someone is "other", or completely separate from us, and the second is to think that someone is too connected: in essence an extension of who we are. This episode is about the relational experiences in our lives. There are 8 billion people on the planet and we are all interconnected. How do we retain a sense of autonomy when we are so affected by each other emotionally and physically? Today I am talking about regaining control over our impulses, patterns, and emotions when it comes to interacting with other human beings. Let's be kind, practice mutual respect, honor each other's space, so we can get along better in our short time here on the planet!

I talk about different dynamics that can throw us off in relating:

\n

-Projection

\n

-Taking things personally

\n

-Controlling

\n

-Needing someone to be different

\n

-Getting triggered

\n

-Attraction & Aversion

\n

-Nosiness/Crossing other people's boundaries

\n

-Attachment

\n

Our journey toward autonomy and emotional freedom begins with awareness, so I hope this episode helped open your eyes to some of these subconscious dynamics so you can be free.
