Sama-dhi...? The roots of words we use. Confused?

I discuss the most translated* word in the practice of tantric, Buddhism, yoga, mindfulness meditation, western practice... I discuss missing the meaning and the message. Did we discover a mistake similar to the often used 'suffering' for dukkha? Dukkha is unbalanced, thus frustrating or troubling. Samadhi. Sama: eveness, dhi/dha of mind. To practice: Patti, to abide or reside; patthana, fix the even mind with insight and calmness. Samantha is calm abiding. See the roots in all these words. Satipatipatti. Satipatthana. Mindfulness. To abide in. Sati is to remember, or tix your attention. Awareness.
