Why has fighting broken out again in Tigray?

Since March this year there\u2019s been a humanitarian truce in the northern Tigray region of Ethiopia - and so the 22-month conflict has slipped down the international news agenda. \n \nBut for those who have relatives within the region it\u2019s been a painful time due to lack of access to their loved ones or news about their welfare. Financial services have been blocked \u2013 and an internet and phone blackout imposed.\n \nDuring the conflict, tens of thousands of civilians have died, with the World Food Programme saying that almost half of Tigray's 5.5m population is in "severe" need of food.\n \nBut now the truce has been broken \u2013 with reports of air strikes and increased fighting.
