Today we\u2019re in Burkina Faso where there's been a serious crackdown on foreign media. \n \nThere have been several reports alleging that the army massacred hundreds of civilians in northern villages in February 2024 and the government's not happy about it. They\u2019ve taken some pretty strict measures on outlets like The Guardian, Le Monde and Deutsche Welle. \n \nThe government, led by Ibrahim Traor\xe9, say these reports are just attempts to smear the military's reputation.\n \nAfrica Daily\u2019s Peter Musembi has been hearing more about what it\u2019s like to be a journalist in Burkina Faso.
