Whats behind the feud between Botswanas current and former Presidents?
In recent weeks, Botswana\u2019s former president, Ian Khama, has visited Zambia, Eswatini and Zimbabwe \u2013 having meetings with presidents and kings.
Since November 2021, he\u2019s been living in exile in South Africa \u2013 after being charged with crimes including the unlawful possession of firearms and receiving stolen property. He says the case is politically motivated.
So is he working to build up support as he fights the case? And can Botswana\u2019s current president, President Mokgweetsi Masisi, persuade South Africa to extradite Khama for trial?
