Is Swahili becoming Africas new common language?

Swahili is one of Africa\u2019s most spoken languages.\nIn it\u2019s heartland, it can be heard from Somalia down to Mozambique, and across to parts of eastern Democratic Republic of Congo. \nBut it\u2019s now being taught at some schools in South Africa and Botswana.\nUniversities in Ghana and Ethiopia are offering Swahili courses to their students.\nAnd the African Union has adopted it as the first official working language native to the continent.\nSo, is Swahili becoming a lingua franca - a common language - for Africa?
