A decades-long civil war has killed thousands and displaced millions in the eastern parts of the Democratic Republic of Congo.\nNeighbouring countries such as Uganda, Rwanda and Burundi have also been sucked into the conflict.\n \nDR Congo accuses Kigali of sponsoring the M23 rebels, which have recently escalated the conflict after a period of calm. \n \nRwanda denies this, but President Kagame recently acknowledged he was preparing for the worst\u2026with many people suggesting he meant a possible armed confrontation.\n \nHowever, on Wednesday leaders of the two countries met in Angola and agreed to de-escalate the situation.\n \nSo is there hope of bringing the conflict in the Democratic Republic of Congo under control?
