The action is set in WWI as John Clayton (Tarzan) is away from his palatial ranch in British East Africa. As WWI breaks out, a detachment of German troops destroys Tarzan\'s home and kills all their servants and guards. Tarzan arrives to find his home and property destroyed, and his wife apparently dead, burned beyond recognition in the fire. He vows revenge and begins his journey of retribution.
