TWL 1011: "A Fish Doesn't Know", by Myk Pilgrim

Season 10 continues with a wet and Wicked wild wade into the waves.Nicola Hope is exhausted, tired, buggered even. She spends most of her time sweating like a pig in the Horny Haggis kitchen, but now that she's done for the day, all she wants is to sit at the bar and guzzle down all the beer in the world - and maybe just maybe, if she's lucky enough, she might even score a little action. It's always nice not to spend the night alone. But that all disintegrates like a politician’s promise when her mother texts. Mostly everything Nicola loves crumbles when Mammie touches them, and Mammie likes nothing more than touching the things that makes her daughter happy.Set in Dreich, the same damp Scottish town as "The Nun's Cat", Myk Pilgrim's contribution to The Wicked Library's 13 Wicked Tales Anthology – “A Fish Doesn't Know” is about the terrible joy at seeing yourself as you are.Told by: Erika SandersonCustom Score: Nico VetteseVoice of the Librarian: Nelson W. TPC 109: "Crime Scenes Ain't What They Used to Be", by Aaron Vlek

It seems Frank made it back all in one piece, in a manner of speaking, from his leisurely little vacation out west with Coyote. But now it’s time to get back to work and he’s on his own this time. It seems a stranger has turned up dead at the old Jessup place and Frank pulls out the toys of his trade to find out what’s happened. Besides that corpse done up in its fancy duds there’s a brand new well out back and well, let’s just say it’s not refreshing spring water that’s oozing up from its murky depths.Tune in to see Frank at work and in his element on some fine old time occult sleuthing, with The Librarian peeking over his shoulder now and then to make sure he doesn’t make a right fine mess of things in HIS TOWN! Do you believe in Coyote? I mean really believe? Because if you do, then you know if he wants you he just trots right up and hoists his leg and marks you as his own. He doesn’t ask if you’re interested or not or what gods you pray to or don’t or even the color of your hide. Then again, maybe he just needed to relieve himself and you got in the way! Frank has grown a bit weary of the adventures The Librarian has sent him on. All for his own good, according to The Librarian who seems to haver Frank’s best interests at heart! But Mr. Enfield remains unconvinced at times and can’t help but doubt The Librarian’s good advice! Who better to help Frank work through his misgivings than Coyote himself?Frank might not return from this caper, but if he does, he’ll have to buckle down and get to work and stop playacting at the detective business. After all, the stakes are too high to rely on someone who still takes themselves as seriously as Frank does and Coyote is just the one to rearrange that high opinion he has of himself!
