In this episode, I ask us to consider a question that is powerful. When things happen we don’t want, do we complain and ask “Why is this happening to me?” or alternative3ly, do we ask “What is the gift in this pain?” I have learned the second question is way better and helps me in two powerful ways.

First, it requires me to get above the situation and look at what can come from where I am. This draws my mind away from complaining and blaming – two actions that usually do nothing. Second, it helps me focus on what I actually can do with what is in front of me. It pushes me away from helplessness to assessing my actual options and moves me toward life ownership. Fear is not your friend.
