Episode 11 - Easter Sunday Rebirth
rebirth? We were all born once. is the universal word for starting over or creating something new or moving somewhere terrible and then starting again to create something wonderful
Often people will say, you can run away, but, you take yourself where-ever you go.
True, but, you can choose to do something different - starting from scratch.
So, this episode celebrates rebirth, not necessarily in the spiritual sense...even-though it is Easter Sunday and we're in the midst of this terrible pandemic. It's a gigantic disaster.
I'm going to talk about 3 specific things today.
- Resurrection
- Renewal
- Rejoicing
Resurrection. What does resurrection mean, if you take it outside of the religious context? It means resurrecting our old dreams. We don't have to resurrect long-abandoned projects, but, we can create new ones. How about resurrecting our will to succeed.
The first thing you may want to resurrect is LOVE for yourself. The opportunities and possibilities are endless.
When you look at yourself in the mirror... do you say, "I love you." If not, take a couple of minutes each day and practice this...it'll get easier, trust me.
Renewal. What does renewal mean to you? Sometimes in a city, old buildings are torn down and new structures are being built. It's not just buildings, but, stores, condos, schools...which means that there's a "renewal" in the community - it's bustling and busy (well, at least before the pandemic), but, it will return.
Rejoicing. What's to rejoice during a pandemic? Truth is, it won't last forever. Doctors and scientists are working around the clock to find a cure or vaccine or a therapy that will work.
What I'm rejoicing about? Easter, the resurrection of Christ, and I'm rejoicing in the commitment of people that are taking the sick/infirm, delivery people, medical professionals, store clerks, and on and on...I'm rejoicing in their commitment and dedication. I'm rejoicing that internet marketers are giving away a lot of stuff - courses and such to help people improve their skills or the language companies giving away their courses while in lock-down. The list is endless, if you look for things to rejoice in.
The only thing in your way to creating Your Ultimate Life is you. Make a choice and commitment to create the life you choose and desire.
Tell yourself - "I'm doing this, and I'm starting today."
We are going to get through this, we are going to come out the other side stronger, kinder and more committed to love each other and to grow and do the work and play we have to do together.
