How I-24 drove commerce to western Kentucky

The arrival of US Interstate 24 changed the Four Rivers region in ways the once dominant railroads, rivers, and rural two-lane highways never could. We'll consider its impact on our area and look back to a time before the interstate with a former I-24 project engineer and a Paducah homeowner who's seen the once-sleepy road he lives on turn into a constantly traveled thoroughfare thanks to its intersection with the Federal highway.
