The definition of Ubuntu Speaks is "I am who I am because of who we all are".

There is a lot to be said about the Ubuntu Speaks Founder and CEO Hermence Matsotsa and her many far-reaching experiences. Her unwavering love for cities she’s never been to and people she has never met has led her to a life of travel, humanitarian, public health and education work across the globe. Her relationships with people from all walks of life across the globe have given her a profound understanding that what one sees as “different or strange” is simply another’s “uniqueness and greatness” cultivated by culture, language, experiences, and one’s understanding of life’s purpose.

Hermence Matsotsa is a strong believer of the South African UBUNTU Philosophy of Human Interconnectedness:

 • I am who I am because of who we all are
 •

 • My humanity is caught up, is inextricably bound up, in what is yours
 •

 • Respect for others, helpfulness, community, sharing, caring, trust, and unselfishness
