145: Donny Shimamoto eats his way to better client relationships [podcast]
Donny Shimamoto grew up in Hawaii with very practical parents, so he didn\u2019t get to travel much until after college. Now he travels all the time and people have gotten to know him through his social media posts about the food he eats wherever he visits. He says he\u2019s more of a pragmatic foodie because he feels it\u2019s less about the cost and more about the taste and presentation.
In this episode, Donny and I talk about how he uses food to relate to others because he doesn\u2019t watch much TV and isn\u2019t really into sports. But everyone needs to eat, so he finds that business meals are a great way to create connections with others. He feels it\u2019s up to each of us to allow others to get to know us better, always asking himself, \u201cHow can you create an opportunity for others to relate to you?\u201d
