Almost a decade ago, United States Army Staff Sergeant Travis Mills of the 82nd Airborne lost portions of both his legs and arms while serving in Afghanistan.\n\nInstead of giving up on life as a quadruple amputee, he instead decided to move forward, inspire other people, and do good in the world. In 2013, he founded the Travis Mills Foundation to support recalibrated veterans and their families. Travis is also an in-demand motivational speaker known for his remarkable positivity and sense of humor. His life story was the inspiration for the 2013 documentary Travis: A Soldier's Story, and, two years later, his book, Tough As They Come, was published and became a New York Times Bestseller.
