Director Joe Battle returns to the James A Haley Veterans Hospital after spending the last 8 months on temporary assignment directing Region 7 of the VAH. Joe has 38 years with the VA and is recognized as an expert on the VA. During our interview, he gives us a better perspective on the parts of the VA and how they serve the veteran community.\xa0
Just in. Sadly Director Battle has decided to end his career with the VA and enjoy his well-earned retirement. His last day will be July 31. His caring for veterans and their families has established a veteran-first culture at the James A Haley Veterans hospital that did not exist in much of the past.\xa0
