Being a military spouse prepared Jen Pilcher to be an entrepreneur. Learning to adapt with relocating and long spouse deployments gave her the impetus to help other military spouses deal with the stresses of military life. Aggregating resources was natural for Jen, and she grabbed the domain name, reached out to potential sponsors, got nothing and went to Plan B - typical startup cycle. Eventually, with the help of Facebook, audiences started to show up and the necessary resources noticed.
