#34 Nick Karnaze, Stubble & 'Stache

A junior ROTC program in high school introduced Nick to the Naval Academy's different services, and received lots of encouragement to attend. This led him to become a Marine, while also wanting to be in intelligence. The combat death of a close friend created a desire to give back to Vets and their families. His friend had a big beard when killed - as many of the special ops people do - so to honor him Nick started developing products to counter the itching and irritating part of having facial hair. As more people discovered his great product, sales grew. Part of the proceeds go to Vet families and to help heal PTSD.\n\nVeteran Founder Podcast with your hosts Josh Carter and Carmen Nazario\n\nWe record the Felony Inc Podcast inside NedSpace in the Bigfoot Podcast Studio in beautiful downtown Portland.\n\nAudio engineer, mixer and podcast editor is Allon Beausoleil\n\nShow logo was designed by Carolyn Main\n\nWebsite was designed by Cameron Grimes\n\nProduction assistant is Chelsea Lancaster\n\nTheme music: Artist: Tipsy Track: Kadonka Album: Buzzz Courtesy of Ipecac Records\n\n10% of gross revenue at Startup Radio Network goes to support women entrepreneurs in developing countries thru kiva.org/lender/markgrimes\n\nListen to the Veteran Founder Podcast live on-air every Friday at 1:00pm pacific time on Startup Radio Network at startupradionetwork.com
