#12 The All American Company - Brian Steorts, Flags of Valor

Published: Feb. 20, 2019, 11:25 p.m.

Brian comes from an All-American family, Grandfather, father, brother and sister all serving. He joined the Army, serving in the 82nd Airborne. There wasn't a global conflict at first and he took some time to go to college. Then 911 hit and he joined the Air Force to fly planes. An injury forced him into rehab, where he wore plain workout clothes for a change. He realized how much he missed the American flag on his shoulder, so he searched for a wooden flag to hang up on the wall. He couldn't find one made in America, made a few in his garage, decided he needed to hire talented people to manufacture them, and Flags of Valor was born. The company only uses American materials, hires American military veterans and gives the revenue to families who have lost members in military service.\n\nVeteran Founder Podcast with your hosts Josh Carter and Carmen Nazario\n\nWe record the Felony Inc Podcast inside NedSpace in the Bigfoot Podcast Studio in beautiful downtown Portland.\n\nAudio engineer, mixer and podcast editor is Allon Beausoleil\n\nShow logo was designed by Carolyn Main\n\nWebsite was designed by Cameron Grimes\n\nProduction assistant is Chelsea Lancaster\n\nTheme music: Artist: Tipsy Track: Kadonka Album: Buzzz Courtesy of Ipecac Records\n\n10% of gross revenue at Startup Radio Network goes to support women entrepreneurs in developing countries thru kiva.org/lender/markgrimes\n\nListen to the Veteran Founder Podcast live on-air every Friday at 1:00pm pacific time on Startup Radio Network at startupradionetwork.com
