The Reluctant Healer

The Reluctant Healer written by Andrew Himmel has won multiple awards and is one of my favorite stories relating to the transition from a Type A to a Type C personality. Sometimes I can relate too much to the main character.\n\nThe story tells of a young attorney who is torn between mounting evidence that he has the spiritual ability to heal others and his life-long skepticism of alternative views. It paints a portrait of a reasonable man who traces a path between skepticism and belief.\n\nAn intriguing discussion about how Andrew came about this transformation in his own life as a 35-year veteran attorney and what that journey looked like for him, what inspired him to write, and how his creative process worked. If you dream of becoming a successful author, you'll want to listen until the very end!\n\n2020 Gold Medalist, Independent Publisher Book Awards ("IPPY")\n2020 Finalist, Next Generation Indie Book Awards (Inspirational Fiction)\n2020 Finalist, Da Vinci Eye Award (Eric Hoffer Foundation)\n2019 Winner, International Book Awards (General Fiction and Inspirational Fiction)\n2019 Winner, New York City Big Book Award (General Fiction)\nNamed to Kirkus Reviews' Best Books of 2018
