Beans with Steve Lerner
"I retain a lot of sand." Writer Steve Lerner joins us for an episode that delves into his dislike for beans but also a discussion of the perfect combination of a hot/cold dish. For a round of Hot Tastes, David thinks no food tastes better while eating it at the beach, Winston thinks that Wendy's is the best nationwide food chain, and Steve thinks that fancy sake is better than fancy wine. For the tasting, a bean each of red kidney, white great northern, cuban style black beans and canellini beans are served alongside refried pinto beans, a chicken thigh cassoulet and a red bean boba.
