Today on Too Opinionated, singer/songwriter Cheri Moon swings by for a visit to talk about her new song released in honor of International Women's day and inspired by a Sojourner Truth Speech.

Cheri's songwriting skills earned her a publishing contract with Producers Timbaland and Jimmy Douglass. Since then, songs from her catalog have been licensed for numerous national commercials and TV shows \u2013 including popular soap operas like\xa0\u201cAll My Children,\u201d \u201cThe Young and the Restless,\u201d and many HBO shows.\xa0\xa0

Capturing music lovers' attention around the world, Cheri had three smash hits in the clubs including \u201cShips in the Night\u201d\xa0(#4 on the Music Week Club Charts),\xa0\u201cHouse Arrest\u201d (#1 on the DMC World Charts\xa0&\xa0#2 on the Music Week Club/Commercial Charts), and\xa0\u201cOne More Crazy Summer\u201dOne More Crazy Summer\u201d\xa0(#2 on the Music Week Club Charts).\xa0Cheri\xa0has since been signed as songwriter for legendary artists Timbaland and Missy Elliot.\xa0

Not only known for her popular dance hits,\xa0Cheri\xa0is also a highly regarded artist in the Family Music Community and as a Voice-Over Artist. She has become well-known for her enchanting children's songs released under the artist name\xa0\u2018SnookNuk\u2019. She was recently included in social justice musician Fy\xfctch\u2019s\xa0"Black Women in History", which reached\xa0#1 on the Sirius Radio Kids Music Charts.\xa0While\xa0Cheri\u2019s voice-over work can be heard on\xa0MTV's \u201cMaking of the Band\u201d\xa0and\xa0national commercial campaigns for\xa0McDonald\u2019s, Herbal Essence,\xa0and\xa0Dr. Pepper.\xa0Cheri\xa0has additionally been seen acting in a number of indie films, and hopes to continue to inspire others through her art in the future.
