Cerina\u2019s first major role was starring in the #1 kid\u2019s series in the world during the late 90\u2019s \u2013 \u201cPower Rangers: Lost Galaxy\u201d as \u2018Maya\u2019 the Yellow Power Ranger. She quickly went from a TV superhero to a silver screen siren, picking up a Saturn Award Nomination for her performance in the horror sensation \u201cCabin Fever.\u201d Swiftly becoming a world-renowned on screen \u2018scream queen,\u2019 she went on to star in the films \u201cNot Another Teen Movie,\u201d \u201cReturn to House on Haunted Hill,\u201d \u201cIt Waits,\u201d \u201cMonika,\u201d \u201cTales of Halloween,\u201d a mini-series for AMC\u2019s \u201cThe Walking Dead,\u201d the short film \u201cDarkened Room\u201d (directed by David Lynch),\xa0\u201cKilling Eleanor\u201d,\xa0and dozens of other genre fan favorites. Beyond SyFy/Horror, her multi-faceted talent has led to guest roles on dozens of hit comedic shows, such as \u201cTwo and a Half Men,\u201d \u201cMike and Molly,\u201d \u201cWorkaholics,\u201d and \u201cCalifornication.\u201d
\xa0Aside from her well-accomplished acting career,\xa0Cerina\xa0has also had much success as a writer. She paired up with author Jodi Collins to co-write the 2007\xa0female-empowerment\xa0best-selling book series\xa0published by HarperCollins,\xa0\u201cHow to Eat Like a Hot Chick\u201d (2007), \u201cHow to Love Like a Hot Chick\u201d (2009), and \u201cLive Like a Hot Chick\u201d (2010). In her free time, the Hollywood-based actress still spends time writing, cooking with family, practicing yoga (which she\u2019s done for over 20 years), being a full-time mom to Nico, spreading awareness for Cystic Fibrosis (a cause near and dear to her heart) and spreading her core-message of \u2018kindness.\u2019 In 2020 she also launched her parenting podcast, \u201cRaising Amazing\u201d with co-host, Pediatrician Dr. Joel Gator Warsh. She\u2019s excited to put her passion for equality and raising kind children who are aware of the world around them into her first children\u2019s book \u201cEverybody Has A Belly Button\u201d. She uses the rhymes and illustrations (by Black Artist Zoi Hunter) to show children the ways we are all alike, despite what may appear to be our physical differences.\xa0
