Quartet for the End of Time
We preview the TSO's upcoming chamber program which contains Olivier Messiaen's remarkable Quartet for the End of Time. Written and performed while Messiaen was in a German prison camp during WWII, the quartet has two stories to tell: the Apocalypse as set forth in the Book of Revelations, and the perseverence of the human spirit in the face of unspeakable evil.
