Myth is made real when followers dedicate themselves to enacting it, and it is not possible to "correct" it by providing mere facts.

\nThis is why January 6 looked like a Reenactment show on steroids. This suggests that without myth, a nation cannot cohere, but when myths duel or change, so do the politics of national identity.
