\nOur panel discusses the state and extraordinary growth of social media in the U.S. and the world today.  While some people, and lots of your people spend their days and lives on social media, the presence of spies, liars, hackers and conspiracists make social media confusing and dangerous to the public and our democracy.  There is essentially no regulation or regulating body charged with or able to properly regulate social media.  Can social media be trusted to regulate itself.  Should government be doing this.  What agency should be doing it.  How can government regulate social media without violating the First Amendment.
