\nThis episode covers the prosecutions under both the National Security Law (NSL) and the existing public order laws of Hong Kong, with the reality that nearly all the pan-democratic forces in Hong Kong have been locked up or forced in exile, with much more of the former than the latter.
\n
\nOn top of that, nearly all the NGOs that stood for human rights and the rule of law have been intimidated into disbanding with ongoing investigations threatening further prosecutions of their members who are not already in jail. Add to that the intimidation of the courts and the bar and we can conclude that the mainland system is being imposed on Hong Kong.
\n
\nTransitional Justice usually considers transitions away from authoritarianism, but the Hong Kong case is transitional justice in reverse, which perhaps we can call transitional injustice.
