\nFig interviews Jim Hake, founder and CEO of Spirit of America. Spirit of America is the only 501(c)(3) nonprofit working alongside U.S. troops and diplomats to help them save and improve lives. We are recognized by Congress and approved by the Department of Defense to work alongside deployed US troops and provide private assistance to meet the local needs they identify.

\nSpirit of America is a "non-neutral" NGO, working in U.S. interests around the globe. Jim conceived of the unique organization shortly after the attacks of 9/11/2001 - he was a successful venture capitalist who wanted to support his country in its time of need.

\nJim is just back from Ukraine and shares his perspective on the situation there. He describes the non-lethal, i.e. not bullets, bombs, or missiles, that SoA is providing directly to the besieged citizens of Ukraine.
