Human Rights for the Uyghurs (Global Connections)

Is China Telling the Truth About them.  The host for this show is Jay Fidell.  The guest is Henryk Szadziewski.
\n
\nHenryk Szadziewski, UH graduate student, will help us understand the plight of the Uyghurs in China.  Most recently, the IOC has behaved deplorably in the Olympics. It has been difficult to reconcile their rhetoric of inclusion and actions as enablers of repression.
\n
\nThe source of the claim that all Uyghurs have been released from "vocational and training centers" is a senior Xinjiang official.  As a source of information, it's difficult for any reasonable person to take that seriously.
\n
\nLong prison sentences on flimsy pretexts have been used in the past two years. The link between camps and forced labor is also very credible. One has to wonder how in good conscience an Olympics can be held in Beijing. The Uyghurs are victims of this terrible repression.
