\nThe House Special Investigative Committee was supposed to be looking into problems at the Department of Land and Natural Resources and the Agribusiness Development Corporation because of a less-than-glowing report by the State Auditor. But guess who got slammed by the Committee just as much, if not more? The Auditor.
\nOver one-third of the Committee\u2019s report was on the Auditor\u2019s Office (which was never supposed to be part of the Committee\u2019s focus according to the House Resolution authorizing the Committee). It was also telling that the Committee issued its draft report before even hearing the testimony from all of the scheduled witnesses. That sure makes it seem like the Committee had predetermined a lot of things.
