\nYour core provides the connection between your upper and lower body.  Weak core muscles make you vulnerable to lower back pain and injuries.  Cathy-Louise Broda, co-owner of Purple Yoga Hawaii and Ashtanga yoga teacher for more than 31 years, tells us about how strengthening your core can support your back.  Cathy-Louise also teaches pregnancy yoga.  You may be familiar with Kegal exercises ( in yoga terms this is called mula bandha or root lock).  She talks about how practicing pelvic floor muscles exercises can give pregnant women a strong foundation for labor and after their baby is born.
