\nWhat does it really mean to be an immigrant? Bobak Ha'Eri isn't entirely sure. Born in Canada to Persian parents, he moved to the United States as a young man where he served 15 years in Bakersfield before getting his degree in International Relations from the University of Southern California. He's been a movie and music video extra, taught high school sex education for Planned Parenthood, and trained as a labor organizer. He went back to school to get his law degree from the University of Minnesota, where he is an instructor in the University Honors Program and teaches lawyering skills. His legal work has covered FDA regulatory issues, torts, copyrights, trademarks and well as business start-ups. He also researches and lectures on modern architecture in Minnesota, and is a member of the Football Writers Association of America as he reports and hosts an interview show on college football.
