Nurse RaDonda Vaught Convicted of Homicide?

Published: April 1, 2022, 2:04 p.m.

Former Vanderbilt nurse RaDonda Vaught was convicted of criminally negligent homicide and abuse of an impaired adult...for a medication error.\nIt was a tragic error that many nurses have told me could have happened to many of them: crappy tech, poor systems, understaffing, and human error leading to the death of a vulnerable patient. And now we have the conviction of a nurse on criminal charges for such a mistake. Here are my thoughts on why this is a TERRIBLE precedent for anyone working in healthcare.\n\xa0Additionally, read statements from the\xa0American Nurses Association (ANA) and American Association of Critical Care Nurses (ACCN) regarding the criminal conviction. Here are my prior episodes\xa0discussing Vaught's case.\nVideo: https://zdoggmd.com/nurse-convicted/\n\nVideo show archive, audio podcasts, music parodies, Supporter Tribe membership options, merch, social media, and email contact form:\xa0https://lnk.bio/zdoggmd\n\n\nSupport us with a 1-time donation and get a personal email response from me: https://www.paypal.com/paypalme/zdoggmd\n\n\nMore about Dr. Z:\xa0https://zdoggmd.com/about-z/\n\n\n\nLearn more about your ad choices.
